Alignment

Alignment is required for all machinery pairs consisting of a prime mover and a moving machine, the connection of which is made with a coupling or belt. The purpose of the alignment is to ensure that when coupling the two spindles, the two axes of rotation are collinear under all machinery operating conditions. Proper alignment means that the spindles have a common axis of symmetry, are within tolerances and distances in the spindles link are within specifications.

Our company uses modern alignment equipment of LASER technology.

MISALIGNMENT TYPES

It happens when the symmetry axis (axis of rotation) of one part is not parallel to the axis of symmetry of the other part, either in horizontal or in the vertical direction.

Ευθυγράμμιση

It happens when the symmetry axis (axis of rotation) of a part forms an angle with the axis of symmetry of the other part, either in horizontal or in the vertical direction.

Ευθυγράμμιση

It happens when in the coupling of the two parts there is both parallel and angular misalignment.

Alignment with Laser

Alignment can be performed either by dial indicator or by laser beam tools. The laser application is a significantly easier, more precise and faster method for aligning machines than dial indicator tools. By using laser, we always obtain the same result, regardless of who takes the measurements, which is not the case with analog dial indicators. In exceptional cases, where the use of laser beam equipment is impractical, dial indicator kits can be utilized.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

Alignment check is required:

  • For all the new coupled equipment.
  • After overhaul of equipment.
  • With the development of vibration in the machine body.
  • At any axial machinery system.

ADVANTAGES

  • Increase of availability and productivity of the machine.
  • Increase of bearings’ life.
  • Optimal use of rolling bearing.
  • Risk minimization for serious damage of all equipment.
  • Saving spare parts.
